World’s Largest Shopping Centre
Luckily, you can witness these record breaking phenomena just by visiting the Dubai Mall itself. The Dubai Mall is the largest shopping centre in the world and is home to over 1,200 retail units. There is every possible shop and retail experience inside the Dubai Mall and more choices of restaurants, cafes and bistros than you can imagine.
Visiting the Dubai Mall also gives you access, just outside, to the World’s Tallest Building, the Burj Khalifa as well as the second largest choreographed fountain show in the world at the Dubai Fountains.
One of the largest indoor aquariums and the largest acrylic panel in the world
You can find two incredible records inside the Dubai Mall at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater zoo, which is located just inside and opposite the Cheesecake Factory and Candylicious. Inside the aquarium lives more than 100 species of fish and aquatic animal. The aquarium itself is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world and the acrylic panel holding back the water is the largest in the world.
Take a trip inside, too, for a small fee.
Largest OLED Screen
Just above the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo sits LG’s latest and greatest technological feat, the world’s largest OLED screen. This was recently measured by the Guinness World Records people and is recorded as being 1.7 billion pixels. This is the largest high definition screen in the world as well as the highest resolution video wall in the world. Oh, and it’s curved too, just in case that wasn’t impressive enough.
The Dubai Dino
This incredible and impressive dinosaur fossil and skeleton is right in the back of the Dubai Mall Souk and situated right above the Cheesecake Factory’s patio. The skeleton, belonging to the massive Diplodocus Longus, is one of the most complete dinosaur fossil skeletons in the world and is completely free to view.
Certainly provides an excellent view while you’re eating your favourite meal or walking through the Dubai Mall after tasting some Camel milk lattes!
